Do Fluance turntables have built in speakers?
Fluance turntables do not include built-in speakers.
To use a Fluance turntable, you can connect it to a home theater receiver or amplifier with passive speakers like the Fluance Elite or Signature Series, or connect it to a set of powered speakers such as the Ai41, Ai61, or Ai81 Powered Speakers.
If your receiver or speakers do not have a preamp built-in, an external preamp such as our Fluance PA10 High Fidelity Phono Preamp would be required for the Reference series (RT82-85) to boost the signal from your turntable.
The Classic (RT80) and Elite(RT81) have a built-in preamp and do not require an external preamp or a phono input on an amplifier/receiver. However, an external preamp will provide better audio performance. If you choose to use a preamp with these models, ensure the preamp switch is set to PHONO to disable the built-in preamp.
