How do I fix wow and flutter?

It's important to remember that mobile apps are not an accurate method of measurement for wow & flutter. While they work well for a quick speed check, they rely on calculations to measure wow & flutter. Our specifications are measured at the signal level using specialized equipment.

Often, finding the exact cause of excessive wow and flutter is difficult. These are some easy steps you can take to minimize it.

Ensure the turntable belt is not twisted and is clean.
Clean your records often to be sure they are free of dirt and debris.
Replace your turntable belt when it becomes worn.
Ensure the power adapter is connected to a stable power source.
If the distortion is more noticeable on some records, check that the records are not pressed off-center. This can be identified by watching if the stylus moves back and forth horizontally while playing.
