- Amp + preamp + passive speakers: Elite (SX), Reference (XL), Signature Series (HF)
***All Fluance turntables require external speakers***
My speakers or amplifier have a 'PHONO' input:
- If your speakers or amplifier have a PHONO input, this means it already has a preamp.
- If you want to use the preamp in the amplifier, an external preamp is not required, but may provide better performance.
- If you want to use the external preamp, ensure the preamp is connected to an input other than PHONO.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
- All records should be cleaned before use with an anti-static carbon fiber record brush. Even new records can carry dust and debris from the pressing plant and record sleeve.
- Clean the stylus after each side with a stylus brush, only brush back to front along the stylus to avoid damage.
- Clean dust off the plinth and dust cover using a clean, lint free, microfiber cloth.
Cartridge compatibility:
- Fluance turntables are sold with cartridges that have proven to perform best with our products such as the Ortofon OM10, 2M Red, and 2M Blue giving you the ability to customize your system for top-tier performance. Cartridge weight must be between 5.0 to 7.5 grams with a height of 18mm and 20° Vertical Tracking Angle (31° for RT85N with Nagaoka MP-110).
- We cannot ensure compatibility with cartridges outside of these options.
- If you are looking to upgrade only the stylus, you can use a 2M Blue Stylus on the same cartridge engine as the 2M Red!
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
To keep your turntable sounding its best, it's important to regularly clean it and replace parts that have become worn.
We recommend purchasing a cleaning kit along with your turntable to ensure the best performance.
