What is the difference between Fluance turntables?

The turntable you choose to purchase is going to depend heavily on your preference and the equipment you plan to use, you will find the difference between these turntables below, as well as our comparison chart:


 

RT80
The RT80 is a great entry-level turntable with a built-in preamp so you can connect it directly to powered speakers or your amplifier/receiver. It includes the AT91 cartridge.


RT81
The RT81 is a step up from the RT80 with a built-in preamp so you can connect it directly to powered speakers, or your amplifier/receiver. It includes the AT95E cartridge and has an upgraded solid MDF plinth for improved vibration dampening.


RT81+
The RT81+ features the same preamp and tonearm as the RT81 but with the following upgrades:
Audio Technica-VM95E Elliptical Stylus (upgradeable stylus to any within the VM95 line)
Acrylic Platter Mat - improved vibration and resonance damping for tighter bass response, richer midrange, and improved clarity.
Aluminum Anti-Resonant Platter - reduced resonance and vibrations to prevent feedback.
Height-Adjustable Isolation Feet - Ensures the table can be leveled on any furniture.

RT82
RT82 is the first step in our Reference series. It includes the Orotfon OM10 cartridge, servo speed control for better speed consistency, a heavier plinth, an upgraded tonearm, and 3 acorn-shaped feet to reduce vibration picked up by the stylus.
*An external preamp such as the Fluance PA10 or a Phono input on an amplifier/receiver is required. RT82 is compatible with all Reference Series upgrades: Acrylic Platter, Ortofon 2M Red/2M Blue cartridge.


RT83
RT83 includes the Orotfon 2M Red cartridge which can be upgraded to 2M Blue by swapping the stylus, servo speed control for better speed consistency, an upgraded tonearm, and 3 acorn-shaped feet to reduce vibration picked up by the stylus.
*An external preamp such as the Fluance PA10 or a Phono input on an amplifier/receiver is required. RT83 is compatible with all Reference Series upgrades: Acrylic Platter, Ortofon OM10, 2M Red/2M Blue Stylus.


RT84
RT84 includes all of the Reference series upgrades featured in the RT82 and RT84 but with the Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge. 
*An external preamp such as the Fluance PA10 or a Phono input on an amplifier/receiver is required. RT83 is compatible with all Reference Series upgrades: Acrylic Platter, Ortofon OM10, 2M Red/2M Blue Stylus.


RT85/RT85N
RT85 is the top of our Reference series. It includes all other Reference Series benefits, plus the acrylic platter, and the option to choose between the 2M Blue for unrivaled clarity and sound reproduction or Nagaoka MP-110 for a warmer, lively sound profile.
